Last weekend The Levi Youth Group of Pan de Vida were taken to a nearby community called Balvanera for an activity. The leaders wanted to teach them how to reflect Jesus by being a Light in the work place.
In the exercise, the leaders divided the youth into 4 groups and gave each group 30 pesos which is equal to about $3. They had a specific list of items to shop for and they were to go in and consider how they could show the light of Jesus and also observe the attitude of the employees of the stores.
Afterward, they met in the community basketball court and discussed their experiences. The response was great as they shared their positive and negative observations. This made them aware of how as Christians they have a responsibility to be lights in the work place through actions and attitude.
Kike then gave the Biblical message explaining the application of being Christians in the work place and how they will face difficulties in their jobs no matter where they work and to be aware that we are to be reflecting the light of Jesus in the work place despite the actions of others.
Afterward the kids got to enjoy the goodies that they bought on this activity. We pray the youth will continue to grow in Christ and reflect the light of Jesus in their lives.
Ephesians 6:5-8 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.
